Courtois Silver Plated Tenor Sax-Overhauled

$0.00

Antoine Courtois tenor saxophone.

These are generally attributed to Beagnier and the construction of this horn seems consistent with that.

It has rolled tone holes, which is not common on Beaugnier saxophones though there are examples of them online.

Saxophone is in silver plate, recently overhauled with Aaron Barnard Brass resos, and a complete respring with blued needle springs.Interesting with this particular horn is that it copied many element of the 10m, noticeably, the left hand pinky cluster, the G# sharp mechanism , and he bis key which sits on its own pivots under the left hand stack

.Intonation is very good (make sure you push in far enough on the neck)Estimated age is mid 30’s to mid 40’sThis is a big solid horn with a thick resonant tone.

A similar Conn 10M would cost 3X+

Comes in a generic case in good condition.
