Martin Committee 1 Alto

$0.00

1937 Martin Committee One alto sax. I presume this is a relacquer.
The body is in great shape with one small dent near the strap hook as shown. The pads are fairly recent and in decent shape and it is playing top to bottom as you can hear in the video. Having said that I do recommend having it gone over by a good tech as the response could be better in a few spots.

The tone is rich and responsive and typically lively Martin. This model is often overlooked among the truly great vintage altos and its too bad. Its a lightweight vibrant horn with a great scale.

Case is original although it may be missing a small insert to fit at its best. There are no musty odors. The latches secure.
