1937 Selmer BA Balanced Action Tenor

$5,495.00

Selmer Balanced Action tenor from 1937, the second year of production. This horn has been relacquered many years back and you can see some sort of texture was introduced in the process. Its quite unique and was obviously skillfully done. If you don't like a horn with a weathered, mottled finish don't buy this horn! However if you like a great playing overall well cared for BA with a fresh quality overhaul with solid brass resos it might be your dream horn. My tech confirmed the quality of the recent OH on it and went over it himself and it is setup and playing to high standards. The last two BA tenors I sold went to Dave Liebman and this plays on a par with those. My friend Jon Irabagon stopped by last week and played it for a moment and what a great time that was!.
Case is old, maybe original.Worn but functional. The horn speaks for itself.
