My flute tech, David Welans, is a world class Haynes expert. Not only did he work there and learn every aspect of making a  Haynes flute but he rose to the job of tester, the most important role within the shop itself.
He dealt with and even personally serviced flutes for Jean Pierre Rampal, Hubert Laws and countless world class players, all of whom would visit the shop when performing in Boston.

Mr. Welans was so impressed with the quality of the work on this flute, done by a young woman on the west coast, that he sent her a letter of acknowledgment for her super work on the flute. He pronounced it as above shop standards. Of course he went through it and made sure everything was exactly as it should be but her work left him very little to do.

So this is a good one. I've studied flute with Yulia Berry , creator of the All About Flute free app and my repeat customers have included world class flutist Gary Schocker.

This is simply a superb example in "above shop standards" condition. Mr Welans even recognized by the finish work, the actual maker of this flute, an old gentleman who had been there a long time and had a great gift for the work.

The case is a brand new protec. It offers very good protection and includes a shoulder strap, wand and cleaning cloth.

You'll be hard pressed to find a sweeter example in anything close to this condition.
