The horn has been very well cared for and has only slight age appropriate wear to the finish. The body as you can see is free if dents or repairs.
This horn has a recent complete overhaul by Agave Music a very expert shop. The horn is tight and responsive with a mammoth sound. The pads are expertly seated and it responds extremely well in all ranges and at all dynamic levels.
Two intelligent and skillful modifications were made. You can see the new neck tenon on the body. These are the one weak link on these horns and prone to cracking over time. Not this one, problem solved expertly. The other modification was the lengthening of the neck. If there is one complaint with these horns it is that the mouthpiece hangs too close to edge when tuning properly. Not here, problem again expertly solved increasing the range of mouthpiece possibilities in the process.
